PREVENTIVE EXAMINATIONS

Scope of occupational health

The scope of examinations depends on the position, working conditions and factors listed on the referral.

01

Pre-employment examinations

For people starting work or taking up a position requiring a new preventive examination.

02

Periodic examinations

Assessment of fitness for work carried out on the date specified in the previous medical certificate.

03

Follow-up examinations

Examination performed before returning to work when a renewed confirmation of fitness for work is required after a period of incapacity.

STEP BY STEP

What does the examination look like?

We organise the process so that the employee can complete all required stages as smoothly as possible.

  1. 1
    Referral

Provide the employer referral with information about the position and workplace risk factors.

  2. 2
    Registration

We determine the location and appointment date and explain what will be needed before the medical consultation.

  3. 3
    Additional tests

The scope of additional tests is matched to the position and exposures listed on the referral.

  4. 4
    Occupational medicine physician

The physician reviews the complete results and performs the preventive examination in the required scope.

SANITARY AND EPIDEMIOLOGICAL EXAMINATIONS

Examinations for Salmonella and Shigella carriage

Examinations for sanitary and epidemiological purposes include testing for carriage of Salmonella and Shigella. Based on the results, the physician issues a medical certificate for sanitary and epidemiological purposes. This certificate replaced the former sanitary / health booklet and confirms that there are no contraindications to work where infection could be transmitted to other people.

BEFORE THE VISIT

The referral matters

The proper scope of the examination is determined based on the data contained in the referral. It is important to correctly indicate the position and the factors present in the work environment.

What should you prepare?

  • referral for a preventive examination,
  • for follow-up examinations: a certificate of ability to work issued by the treating physician,
  • identity document,
  • glasses or contact lenses, if used,
  • any medical documentation relevant to the examination.

Detailed requirements may vary depending on the position and scope of tests. Reception will provide the necessary information during registration.

FOR EMPLOYERS
